№9 Museum of the Great Patriotic War
One of the main attractions of the memorial is monument of Motherland. The height of it from the pedestal to the end of the sword is 62 meters, overall height is 102 meters and weight is around 500 tons. This monument is the biggest in Ukraine and one of the largest in the world.

The Golden Gate dates back to 11th century and is one of few monuments that survived till our days. Kiev Pechersk Lavra was a very important center of enlightenment and culture. It was the place, where the entire learned world of the Rus gathered. Here scientists were working over adaptation and translation of Byzantine religious and secular texts. Also here at Lavra new texts were written and it had high importance for the development of specific Kievan culture.
