Museums are usually the best places to reveal the history of the country in a way it is described in books. So let’s learn a little bit about the museums you can visit while staying in Kiev.

The archeological collections of the museum are considered to be one of the most valuable. They include even the materials which belong to the beginning of the Stone Age. The museum is not only informative, but also creatively different, as it is organized in a special way. It resembles a long road with 76 road signs of those inhabited localities which got into the exclusion zone around the Chornobyl nuclear power station. The exhibition demonstrates the reasons and the results of the tragedy, describes the actions of those heroes who gave their lives and health for rescuing people. You will see here the first publications about the tragedy, the costumes which were used for elimination of the results of it, the first notes in the registers of fire-fighting departments, the photos of the heroes and a lot of other information.
